I'll stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the novice remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually proceeding.
